Job Description:
The Senior Architect will play a key role in the design and delivery of public safety projects. This position requires a deep understanding of the unique challenges and requirements of public safety facilities, as well as the ability to manage complex projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive experience in public safety design, and a passion for creating safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environments.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of public safety projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and regulations
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and team members to develop project concepts and design solutions
- Produce design drawings, construction documents, and presentations
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure quality and adherence to project specifications
- Mentor and support junior staff, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in public safety design
Qualifications:
- Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited program
- Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience, with a focus on public safety projects
- Licensed Architect preferred
- In-depth knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and construction detailing specific to public safety facilities
- Proficiency in Revit and other design software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, Bluebeam, and 3D visualization tools
- Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
