Position Overview: We are seeking a CEQA Environmental Planner with a minimum of 7 years of experience in environmental planning, including at least 3 years of experience managing projects from cradle to grave. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience performing CEQA/NEPA air quality analyses in various industries, including transportation/transit, residential and commercial developments, utility corridors, parks, schools, and open space. Proficiency in air modeling using CalEEMod, EMFAC, CALINE4, and AERMOD models is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed air quality assessments and analyses for CEQA/NEPA projects.
- Manage environmental planning projects with a focus on air quality from inception to completion.
- Prepare and review air quality sections of environmental documents, including EIRs, EISs, and technical reports.
- Ensure compliance with CEQA/NEPA air quality regulations and guidelines.
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies on air quality issues.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on air quality assessments and mitigation measures.
- Utilize air modeling tools such as CalEEMod, EMFAC, CALINE4, and AERMOD models.
- Mentor and support junior staff in air quality environmental planning.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in environmental planning with a focus on air quality.
- At least 3 years of experience managing air quality projects from cradle to grave.
- Expertise in air quality assessments and CEQA/NEPA compliance.
- Proficiency in air modeling using CalEEMod, EMFAC, CALINE4, and AERMOD models.
- Experience in transportation/transit, residential and commercial developments, utility corridors, parks, schools, and open space industries.
- Strong knowledge of CEQA/NEPA air quality regulations and guidelines.
