A leading acoustics consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Acoustic Consultant to join their team in a fully remote capacity. This role offers the flexibility to work from anywhere in the United States, with occasional travel for client site visits as needed. The Senior Acoustic Consultant will be responsible for managing and executing complex acoustic projects while collaborating with clients and internal teams remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert consulting services on a wide range of acoustic-related projects across various industries.
- Manage projects remotely, including developing scopes, overseeing timelines and budgets, conducting virtual client meetings, and delivering high-quality reports.
- Conduct noise and vibration assessments, environmental impact studies, transportation noise analyses, and building acoustics evaluations using specialized software and remote collaboration tools.
- Utilize acoustic measurement techniques and software to analyze field data, coordinate virtual site assessments, and support client decision-making.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to clients and internal teams on acoustic-related challenges.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and remote engagement.
- Stay up to date with industry advancements and emerging technologies in the acoustics field.
- Mentor and support junior team members in a remote work environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Acoustics, Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in acoustics consulting, with expertise in noise and vibration assessments, environmental impact studies, and building acoustics.
- Strong technical knowledge of acoustics, including sound and vibration principles, measurement techniques, and specialized acoustic-related software.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex acoustic concepts to clients and non-technical stakeholders in a remote setting.
- Proven project management skills, with experience handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in mentoring and managing junior staff remotely.
- A strong track record of building and maintaining client relationships in a consulting environment.
