Overview:
Seeking a highly motivated and experienced Surveyor-in-Training (SIT) with 3+ years of field experience in San Antonio. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional who is looking to further their career, gain additional responsibilities, and work toward licensure as a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) or Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS).
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting land surveys for a variety of projects, including residential, commercial, and infrastructure developments.
- Perform field data collection, including measurements, elevations, and boundary locations using survey equipment (e.g., total stations, GPS, levels).
- Review and process survey data for accuracy and completeness in line with project specifications and industry standards.
- Prepare survey sketches, reports, and maps for review by senior surveyors and project managers.
- Assist in boundary research, establishing legal land descriptions, and preparing survey plats.
- Collaborate with senior surveyors to support the development of survey plans and proposals for new projects.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure the timely and accurate completion of survey tasks.
- Ensure adherence to safety procedures and regulatory requirements during field operations.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in land surveying or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Surveyor-in-Training (SIT) certification
- Proficient with surveying equipment and software (e.g., total stations, GPS systems, AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
- Familiarity with Texas surveying laws, regulations, and local standards.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
