We are looking for experienced safety managers to join a leading mechanical contractor in the DC metropolitan area. Our client has recently won a vast array of mechanical projects in the data center, healthcare, and goverment sectors, and is looking to bring on a safety manager to ensure compliance with all safety regulations on these projects.
Key responsibilities:
- Inspect job sites of various size to ensure compliance with all OSHA rules and regulations
- Conduct training sessions and lessons for new employees
- Keep a record of all recordables and incidents for client and contractor
- Provide emergency response as needed
The ideal candidate:
- 7-10 years as a safety manager or in a related field
- Experience working on large complex mechanical projects around $20m or more
- Experience working with semiconductor facilities a massive plus
- OSHA 10hr, 30hr, 40hr, and 500 certified
- Thorough understanding of all relevant OSHA regulations and Microsoft Project
- Strong leadership and communication skills
