We are looking for experienced safety professionals to work with a top 25 ENR General Contractor out of their new office in Austin. They are currently working on a $7 billion manufacturing facility local to the region, and need safety managers to help carry the project through to completion and support the extensive backlog they now have in the region. The ideal applicant will have experience with large industrial projects, and have 7+ years of experience in a safety role.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and enforcement of worksite plans for your part of the project
- Carry out thorough site inspections regularly
- Conduct staff training sessions on up-to-date OSHA regulations
- Work night shifts if necessary
- Consult with client and provide regular reports on accidents and injuries
The ideal candidate:
- 7+ years as a safety professional required
- History working with large complex industrial projects for a general contractor
- Experience dealing with difficult clients is crucial
- Tenures with microchip/semiconductor projects a plus
- Open to working in shifts, including the night shift if needed
