Role Overview
- The company is seeking an Architect/ Engineer with knowledge of low-slope and steep-slope roofing systems and minimum 10 years' experience. They will be required to conduct field verification of existing conditions in order to develop construction documents.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Ability to read and comprehend architectural drawings and have a basic understanding of structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings and technical specifications
- Collaborate with clients and consulting staff to create new architectural details and remedial specifications for roofing systems
- Perform field verification on roofs to assess existing conditions for construction documents, requiring physical activities like climbing stairs and ladders, using tools, and working safely at roof edges
- Communicate effectively and work both independently and as part of a team
- Possess excellent communication and writing skills
- Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and experienced with Bluebeam and AutoCAD
- Periodic travel may be required
- Licensed Architect or working towards licensure
- Licensed Engineer or working towards licensure
- Registration or working towards registration as an RRC (Registered Roof Consultant) with IIBEC
- Experience with Revit
- Experience with wall systems
