Company Summary: A multidisciplinary engineering & design firm is looking to grow their Power and Renewables team with a Geotechnical Engineering Manager. You will play an integral part in assisting with the management and execution of geotechnical investigations and design for PV, BESS, and substation projects. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in supporting junior engineers to grow in skills and their career.
Responsibilities:
- Develop proposals and cost estimates for geotechnical investigations and design work.
- Conduct site investigations, assign lab tests, analyze data, and compile reports.
- Interpret geotechnical data to classify materials and determine engineering properties.
- Perform geotechnical analyses, including bearing capacity, settlement, slope stability, and more.
- Supervise, mentor, and train geotechnical staff while promoting teamwork and learning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in civil/geotechnical engineering
- 5+ years related work experience in power or renewables
- Familiarity with gINT, GeoStudio, LPile, MFAD, etc
- Experience working directly with clients
