We have an exciting opening for a Senior/Lead Electrical Engineer to work on utility-scale solar & BESS projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer that's ready to have larger role and responsibility for a growing division within a newer IPP/owner that's currently developing & acquiring renewable energy power plants across the US.
Opportunity to sit 100% full time remote but for candidates that prefer a hybrid set up we can provide a list of our hubs & satellite hubs if preferred.
Snippet of the role responsibilities:
- Support utility-scale solar & BESS projects from development phase through execution/commissioning oversight.
- Reviewing engineering & construction drawings, support team on operations direction for managing technical aspects of projects.
- Act as a liaison with asset management, development, construction and other teams within the business.
- Provide insight into equipment and vendor decisions & selection. Be a resource for EORs/EPCs to work with.
Qualifications to apply:
- Minimum of 4-5+ years of work experience as an engineer.
- Minimum 2 years of US project experience for US employer.
- Four year bachelors degree in engineering (electrical preferred).
- Deep technical experience with two of the following: power systems, electrical controls, site electrical design, protection & control operations, relay settings, SCADA systems, communication/networking, substations, solar or BESS operations.
- Strong organizational skills and willingness to learn.
- PE Licensed not required but a plus.
