Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. This remote position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere while contributing to a variety of challenging and rewarding projects. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead and mentor junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage geotechnical engineering projects from inception to completion.
- Conduct geotechnical site investigations, including soil and rock sampling, in-situ testing, and laboratory testing.
- Perform geotechnical analysis and design for foundations, retaining structures, slopes, and other geotechnical systems.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, proposals, and project documentation.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success.
- Stay current with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE)
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Proficiency in geotechnical software (e.g., PLAXIS, GeoStudio, LPILE, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
