My client, a leader in delivering sustainable energy and waste solutions, is looking for an experienced professional to develop and manage a robust sales pipeline, ensuring the achievement of key business targets in the environmental solutions sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue opportunities for capital system sales; manage relationships with stakeholders, including owners, managers, and business leaders, guiding them through the contract process.
- Oversee technical, regulatory, and contractual developments, leveraging support from internal technical and financing teams.
- Strengthen marketing efforts, increase market share in existing regions, and drive entry into new markets.
- Engage potential clients and partners, including proactive outreach and cold calls to generate new leads.
- Build, nurture, and manage both internal and external sales networks across the Asia, Australia, and New Zealand markets.
- Collaborate in setting and achieving annual sales targets.
- Establish and maintain a solid pipeline of projects while building long-term customer relationships.
- Work alongside internal teams-including management, technical, engineering, and others-to design tailored solutions that address customer needs.
- Lead contract negotiations and close deals to meet sales goals.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and relevant market engagements.
- Gather market insights and provide feedback on trends and opportunities within the sector to internal teams.
- Achieve annual sales targets and key performance indicators.
- Monitor and communicate developments in product offerings, industry trends, and competitor strategies.
- Ensure all activities in the business territory adhere to safety regulations and company compliance standards.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Economics, or a similar field.
- At least 5 years of experience in a senior sales or business development role within Asia, with a focus on environmental services, waste-to-energy, wastewater treatment, or renewable energy, and a proven record of success.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong technical knowledge of wastewater, biogas, anaerobic digestion, renewable energy, and/or waste management and recycling processes.
- Excellent negotiation, networking, and relationship-building skills.
- Familiarity with local regulations regarding waste treatment, renewable energy, and biogas plant design.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools and ability to quickly adapt to new digital platforms.
- Fluency in English; additional regional language proficiency is an asset.
