Job Description: The Project Structural Engineer needs to be a highly skilled professional with extensive knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices across diverse assignments and related fields. Proficiency in designing structures using materials like structural steel, reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete, timber, and masonry is essential, adhering to current standards and codes. Responsibilities include ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion of delegated projects. The Project Engineer should meet the following criteria:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a minimum of 5 years' experience
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Michigan
- Experience in developing contract construction plans, estimates, specifications, and bid documents for various structures (sanitary and wastewater, civil, specialty, bridges, low-rise buildings) for local municipalities, MDOT, and commercial/industrial clients, following applicable standards and codes
- Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently, assisting the Senior Project Structural Engineer in structural design and analysis
- Team-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills
