I am currently assisting one of my clients in their search for an experienced Project Developer with between 2-5 years of experience working on Utility Scale Solar Projects.
You will be helping with the acquisition of new projects and also assisting them in the permitting phases of their existing projects.
They have been able to grow quite quickly in the German market due to their substantial financial backing. They also have an established presence in other markets such as Italy, Spain, The Uk and Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Identification and Assessment:
- Lead the identification and evaluation of potential sites for utility-scale solar projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies, analyzing technical, environmental, and economic factors.
Permitting and Regulatory Compliance:
- Navigate local, state, and federal permitting processes to secure necessary approvals.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
Interconnection Management:
- Collaborate with utility companies to secure interconnection agreements and assess grid capacity.
- Manage the interconnection process to ensure timely project milestones.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Cultivate positive relationships with local communities, landowners, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Address community concerns and proactively communicate project benefits.
Financial Analysis and Budgeting:
- Develop financial models to assess project viability and optimize financial returns.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and financial sustainability.
Contract Negotiation:
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers, contractors, and other project partners.
- Ensure favorable terms for project development, construction, and operation.
