Our client is a leading provider of high-quality electrical contracting services specializing in transmission and distribution (T&D), renewable energy, and industrial power projects. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Transmission and Distribution Project Manager to join the growing to work out of the office in Vacaville or Anderson CA.
As a Transmission and Distribution Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of T&D projects. This role requires a strong background in managing complex electrical infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution:
Lead and manage T&D projects from inception to completion, including project scope, schedule, cost, and quality control.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, budgets, and timelines.
Coordinate with engineers, field personnel, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure efficient project execution.Client and Stakeholder Management:
Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing regular project updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, utilities, and third-party contractors.Resource and Risk Management:
Allocate resources effectively, including manpower, materials, and equipment, to meet project goals.
Identify potential risks to project timelines or budgets and implement mitigation strategies.Compliance and Safety:
Ensure all projects adhere to safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices.
Promote a culture of safety among all project team members and ensure safety protocols are followed on-site.Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and financial records.
Provide regular updates to senior management on project status, challenges, and successes.
Qualifications
Experience:
5+ years of experience in managing T&D projects in the electrical construction industry, with a strong understanding of utility infrastructure and power distribution systems.
Proven track record of successfully completing complex, large-scale projects on time and within budget.Education:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus.Skills:
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Solid understanding of safety protocols, local, state, and federal regulations, and environmental compliance.Other Requirements:
