Role Overview
My client is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of mechanical works for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager to undertake Construction of Water & Wastewater Projects in a long-term program of works. You will be responsible for the delivery of the project from inception to final stage commissioning whilst focusing on the development and efficient productivity of a growing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrated leadership in health, safety, quality, and environmental management.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop team members.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and suppliers, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Ensure all mechanical works comply with Australian standards and safety regulations.
- Oversee installation, commissioning, and performance testing of mechanical systems.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring timely issue resolution.
Skills & Experience Required
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proven experience in mechanical construction within the water/wastewater industry.
- Previous experience working on water treatment plants, pipelines, or pumping stations is a bonus.
- Prior experience with major tier-1 contractors or Sydney Water projects is highly regarded.
- Exposure to large-scale infrastructure projects is advantageous.
- Strong multitasking abilities and a proactive approach to project execution.
