Location: Greater Boston
Position Purpose:
This role involves supervising, directing, and coordinating the construction and project management of elecrical utility construction projects. The Project Manager serves as the primary point of management responsibility from project pre-planning to full construction administration, contributing to the development of processes, procedures, and systems to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the project team to oversee construction activities, ensuring projects are built according to design, budget, and schedule.
- Interface with clients and on-site construction crews to ensure project safety, quality, and milestones are met.
- Prepare utility construction proposals and estimates, including drawing take-offs.
- Forecast and report on project profitability while managing the project budget.
- Coordinate all aspects of job setup, including safety, scheduling, document control, cost codes, job cost spread, material/tooling plans, and billing.
- Work with the project team to plan and evaluate performance adjustments needed to stay within budget and on schedule.
- Interface with client representatives, union members, and subcontractors.
- Exercise leadership in managing field employees and utility construction work, adhering to company and contract requirements.
- Communicate project expectations and status to field employees and clients in group settings.
- Quote and process change orders from drawing changes, RFIs, and customer requests.
- Ensure the project has adequate resources to maintain schedule, budget, and exceed safety expectations.
- Regional travel is required.

- Ability to oversee multiple projects across a large geographic area.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field in the utility construction industry.
- Preferred: BS/BA in Construction Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with union jurisdiction and labor agreements.
- Expertise in electrical utility construction (distribution, substation, transmission line) is preferred.
