They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Director to lead and oversee the execution of their data center projects in APAC. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale data center construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. The Project Director will play a pivotal role in driving project success, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership:
Provide strategic leadership and vision for data center projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.
Direct and coordinate all phases of project delivery, from conceptualization and design through construction, commissioning, and handover.
Stakeholder Management:
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, consultants, and government authorities.
Effectively communicate project status, risks, and mitigation strategies to stakeholders at all levels.
Budget and Cost Management:
Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial objectives are met.
Implement cost control measures and monitor expenditures throughout the project lifecycle.
Schedule and Timeline Oversight:
Develop comprehensive project schedules and timelines, regularly monitoring progress and identifying potential risks.
Implement strategies to mitigate schedule delays and ensure on-time project delivery.
Quality Assurance:
Establish and enforce quality standards for project deliverables, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and client specifications.
Conduct regular quality audits and inspections to uphold project integrity.
Risk Management:
Identify and assess project risks, developing and implementing effective risk mitigation strategies.
Proactively address challenges to minimize impact on project timelines and deliverables.
Team Leadership:
Build and lead a high-performing project team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.
Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, promoting professional development.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
Proven experience (at least 10 years) in project management, with a focus on data center construction projects.
Strong understanding of data center infrastructure and associated technologies.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
PMP or PRINCE2 certification is desirable.
Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in Singapore.
