An international developer with over 1,500 MW in development throughout North America is looking to bring on a passionate Project Development Manager to join their team. The project Development Manager will be deeply involved in various stages of developing wind and solar energy projects for a company that values the trust of communities that host their projects. This individual will collaborate with specialists in renewable energy policy, real estate, GIS, legal, design, permitting, site prep, finance, and construction to help balancing the communities' best interests, the companies' financial goals, and environmental needs.
The qualifications for this role includeโฆ
- Proven track record in wind energy project development and energy storage.
- Comfortable reading and analyzing state policy, legislation, compliance filings, and contracts for project opportunities.
- Enthusiasm for identifying strategic grid interconnection points and managing requests with ISOs and RTOs.
- Willing to assist our construction team on-site as needed.
- Skilled at distinguishing real expertise from pretentiousness and managing third-party consultants.
- Knowledge of project management, scheduling, budgeting, and financial modeling.
- Comfortable with community outreach, public presentations, contract negotiations, and communications with various stakeholders.
- Independent problem solver who handles pressure well and knows when to ask for help.
- Team player who understands the importance of collaboration in building a power plant.
- Interested in networking with like-minded individuals.
