Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Project Architect to join our team. As a Project Architect, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of various projects in the education, healthcare, cultural, community, and museum sectors. The ideal candidate will have a passion for architecture, strong design sensibility, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design development and documentation phases of projects from concept through construction administration.
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and consultants to develop innovative design solutions that meet client needs and project requirements.
- Prepare and coordinate architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents using Revit software.
- Conduct site visits and field surveys to assess existing conditions and ensure compliance with design intent and building codes.
- Coordinate with engineering consultants, contractors, and vendors to integrate structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems into the design.
- Participate in client meetings, presentations, and workshops to communicate design concepts and progress.
- Mentor junior staff members and provide guidance on technical and design issues.
- Assist with project management tasks, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in architectural design and project management.
- Proficiency in Revit software is required; experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
- Strong design portfolio demonstrating expertise in education, healthcare, cultural, community, and museum projects.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Architectural licensure or eligibility for licensure is preferred.
- Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes in Baltimore and Maryland.
