We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project/Field Engineer to join our team in bridge construction projects. This role will involve hands-on field support and technical expertise to ensure the successful execution of bridge construction projects in Hampton, VA.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and execution of bridge construction projects, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and schedule standards.
- Perform field inspections, monitor construction progress, and resolve any technical or operational issues on-site.
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other engineers to ensure smooth project flow.
- Conduct material and equipment inspections to confirm compliance with specifications.
- Review design plans and drawings to ensure accuracy and quality in implementation.
- Maintain project documentation and assist with the preparation of reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related field.
- Previous experience in bridge or heavy civil construction preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction techniques, safety standards, and relevant regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
