A prominent civil consulting firm is seeking a dynamic and experienced Land Surveyor to spearhead its surveying and mapping operations in Michigan. This role requires a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) certification in Michigan and a minimum of 10 years of professional land surveying experience, including at least 2 years in project management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a variety of surveying and mapping projects, such as topographic surveys, ALTA surveys, and construction staking.
- Utilize advanced technologies including LiDAR mapping, drones, GPS, and traditional surveying methods.
- Oversee daily operations, coordinating field survey activities and office tasks like field note reduction, traverse adjustments, and topographic map preparation.
- Promote and integrate innovative Survey, Mapping, and Geomatics technologies.
Qualifications:
- PLS certification in Michigan.
- At least 10 years of professional land surveying experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of project management experience.
- Business development experience is a plus.
