As a Principal Process Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping their technological advancements and driving the development of cutting-edge water treatment processes.
Position Overview: They are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Principal Process Engineer to lead their process engineering team in the design, optimization, and implementation of advanced water treatment technologies. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of chemical and physical processes involved in water treatment, a track record of successful project management, and a passion for innovation and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of process engineers, providing technical guidance and expertise to achieve project goals and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, operations, and sales to develop and refine water treatment processes that align with company objectives and customer needs.
- Design and optimize water treatment processes, utilizing state-of-the-art techniques and technologies, to ensure efficient removal of contaminants, pathogens, and pollutants from various water sources.
- Conduct thorough process simulations, modeling, and analysis to evaluate the performance and feasibility of proposed solutions.
- Lead process design activities, including mass and energy balances, process flow diagrams, P&IDs, and equipment specifications, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Drive innovation by staying current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, and applying this knowledge to enhance company offerings.
- Collaborate with project management teams to ensure successful execution of water treatment projects, including overseeing timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Actively participate in client interactions, presentations, and technical discussions, fostering strong client relationships and addressing their specific water treatment challenges.
- Contribute to the development and review of technical proposals, feasibility studies, and detailed engineering reports.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in processes, systems, and methodologies, and lead efforts to implement enhancements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. PhD is a plus.
- A minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in process engineering, preferably in the water treatment or related industry.
- In-depth knowledge of water treatment processes, including physical, chemical, and biological treatment methods.
- Strong proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and relevant engineering tools.
- Proven project management skills, with a track record of leading successful projects from concept to implementation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven and results-oriented approach.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and guide a team of engineers toward achieving common goals.
- Familiarity with relevant industry regulations, standards, and guidelines.
- Creative thinking and a passion for driving innovation and sustainability in water treatment processes.
