We are currently working closely with a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy from the urban and town planning industry who are growing in Melbourne. The dynamic and innovative team are seeking an experienced Principal Planner who will help to lead the planning initiatives and drive transformative projects both in Victoria and nationally.
Key Responsibilities:
- As a Principal Urban/Town Planner (Statutory or Strategic), you will be at the helm of the planning team, guiding the development and implementation of comprehensive urban and town planning strategies.
- Act as a Project Manager leading mid to large size projects simultaneously whilst driving high performance from the team
- Ability to work closely with the company directors to liaise with both private clients and public industry bodies to help identify and win new opportunities in the market
- Acted as the main point of contact with external clients to provide updates on projects and deliver high quality work to clients to achieve repeat business
- Working closely with internal stakeholders including economists, urban planners and community stakeholders
Requirements:
- Planning degree qualifier or related degree / discipline
- 8+ years of town / urban planning experience either in consultancy or state / local government
- Strong knowledge of the Victorian Planning framework
- Strong understanding in approvals across industries including Infrastructure, Residential and Commercial
- Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills
