Principal Foundation Engineer (Permanent)
Location: Tokyo, Japan / Hybrid
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Foundation Engineer with a strong background in geotechnical and structural engineering, specifically within the offshore wind sector. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience, including leadership roles in offshore wind foundation design, and will be fluent in both Japanese and English.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of offshore wind foundations, ensuring compliance with geotechnical and structural engineering standards.
- Oversee the ClassNK certification process, including harmonization with international guidelines (e.g., IEC, DNV).
- Ensure adherence to Japanese regulatory requirements and international standards (e.g., ISO, IEC, JIS).
- Utilize structural analysis tools such as Ansys, SACS, Abaqus, and Plaxis for project execution.
- Liaise effectively with government and international stakeholders to facilitate project approvals and certifications.
- Manage multi-discipline project teams to ensure alignment with schedule and budget, securing ClassNK approval.
