In this role, you will play a key part in offering technical proficiency and leadership in electrical design and engineering, focusing on water, wastewater, and odour control projects. This entails possessing a comprehensive understanding of power and control systems, switchboard design, compliance, and project-specific electrical design.
Responsibilities:
Provide expert guidance and leadership in electrical design for water, wastewater, and odour control projects.
Oversee the development and implementation of innovative and efficient electrical design solutions.
Lead the electrical design team in project planning, execution, and delivery.
Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with relevant industry standards.
Demonstrate a deep understanding of power and control systems, switchboard design, and other relevant electrical engineering aspects.
Contribute to the development and review of project electrical designs, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, project managers, and clients, to integrate electrical designs seamlessly into overall project plans.
Ensure that all electrical designs adhere to industry regulations, codes, and compliance standards.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices to enhance design efficiency and effectiveness.
Mentor and coach junior electrical engineers, fostering their professional development and growth.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
10+ years relevant experience working as an electrician or electrical engineer in the water and wastewater industry
In-depth knowledge of power and control systems, switchboard design, and electrical engineering principles.
Highly proficient in AutoCAD, PowerCAD
