Position Overview: We are seeking a Principal Biologist with a minimum of 10 years of experience in natural resources consulting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cradle-to-grave project management, wildlife species, and native plant life. Experience with regulatory compliance for natural resources, including USFWS, CEQA, ESA, and other relevant regulations, is essential. Additionally, experience in the construction and transportation industries will be highly valued. Business development experience is required, along with the ability to train and mentor junior staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage natural resources projects from inception to completion.
- Conduct field surveys and assessments of wildlife species and native plant life.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (USFWS, CEQA, ESA, etc.).
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders in the construction and transportation industries.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation.
- Drive business development initiatives and strategies.
- Train and mentor junior biologists and project staff.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in natural resources consulting.
- Proven experience in cradle-to-grave project management.
- Expertise in wildlife species and native plant life.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance (USFWS, CEQA, ESA, etc.).
- Experience in the construction and transportation industries.
