Job Title: Preconstruction Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and proactive Preconstruction Manager to join our team in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate will oversee all preconstruction activities, including planning, budgeting, and coordination, to ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning: Lead the preconstruction phase by developing detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for construction projects. Collaborate with the estimating team to ensure competitive pricing.
- Bid Management: Manage the bid process, including preparing bid packages, soliciting bids from subcontractors, and evaluating proposals.
- Client Coordination: Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions that meet their project goals. Maintain strong client relationships throughout the preconstruction phase.
- Design Coordination: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other design professionals to ensure project designs are feasible and cost-effective.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Permitting and Approvals: Oversee the permitting process and ensure all necessary approvals are obtained before construction begins.
- Team Collaboration: Work with project managers, superintendents, and other team members to ensure seamless transition from preconstruction to construction.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on project status, budget, and schedule to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in preconstruction or a related role within the construction industry.
- Experience with projects in Mixed Use, Multifamily and/or High Rise Buildings (20+ stories)
- Strong understanding of construction processes, methodologies, and best practices.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Autodesk, BIM).
- Excellent project management skills, including budgeting and scheduling.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders.
- Leadership abilities to guide and motivate project teams.
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
