You will play a crucial role in advancing our renewable energy initiatives and ensuring the seamless integration of advanced power systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Concept Development: Create detailed line diagrams for load flow analysis, voltage drop studies, short circuit analysis, battery sizing, transformer sizing, cable sizing, and MV switchgear selection. Your expertise will be pivotal in designing robust and efficient power systems.
- Supplier Evaluation: Assess potential suppliers to identify the best solutions that meet our design cost objectives. Your evaluations will ensure that we partner with top-tier suppliers who can deliver high-quality components.
- Regulatory Compliance: Design and evaluate components in strict adherence to design and testing standards, including regulatory requirements for marine and offshore environments, as well as grid regulations. Your work will ensure that our systems are safe, reliable, and compliant with all relevant standards.
- Control Strategy Development: Formulate control strategies for Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and Power Conversion Systems (PCS) optimized for battery storage and other loads. Your innovative strategies will enhance the performance and efficiency of our power systems.
Required Skills:
- Educational Background: A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering is essential. Your advanced education will provide the foundation for your technical expertise.
- Professional Experience: Over 5 years of experience in power systems engineering, with a strong focus on battery storage. Your extensive experience will enable you to tackle complex engineering challenges and deliver exceptional results.
- Renewable Energy Expertise: Experience with distribution systems for solar or wind power plants is crucial. Your knowledge of renewable energy systems will be instrumental in driving our green energy projects forward.
- Location Flexibility: Ability to commute daily to a lab in the Kanto region. Your presence at the lab will be vital for hands-on work and collaboration with the team.
