About the Role: Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Onshore Construction Package Manager to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the construction and commissioning packages within the onshore wind power projects. You will ensure that all activities are executed according to contract specifications, health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements, and within the allocated budget and timeline. This position involves coordinating with various stakeholders, sourcing competent resources, and managing risks and opportunities to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute construction and commissioning packages in line with contract and HSE requirements, ensuring quality, timeliness, and budget adherence.
- Source and manage competent personnel and tools for project installation and commissioning.
- Implement and oversee the Project HSE plan for construction and commissioning.
- Manage procurement procedures and contracts related to construction and commissioning packages.
- Monitor and forecast project budgets, ensuring continuous financial oversight.
- Identify and manage risks and opportunities associated with construction and commissioning.
- Oversee the management of non-conformance costs (NCCs) and develop mitigation plans.
- Lead and coordinate construction and commissioning teams and stakeholders.
- Monitor project KPIs and develop action plans to address any deviations.
- Ensure compliance with quality, health, safety, and environmental (QHSE) requirements.
- Ensure timely availability of technical documentation, tools, and materials for project execution.
- Facilitate the final handover of construction and commissioning deliverables to the services team and customers.
- Capture and apply lessons learned from project execution.
- Order and manage remote diagnostics and digital services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline.
- Strong understanding of construction site operations, including personnel competence, tooling, materials, and technical manuals.
- Demonstrated experience in technical management within a construction-oriented organization.
- Previous experience in a project or service managerial role within a construction project-oriented company.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong strategic orientation and hands-on approach when needed.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to foster an inclusive and open culture, embracing new ideas and flexible mindsets.
- Fluent English and Japanese communication
