One of my clients is actively looking for an Offshore Wind Foundation Package Engineering Manager to join their team!
The company already has some project pipelines with a few potential partners in Japan, hence now expanding its project team dedicated to promote these existing pipelines and finding new projects!
Location: Tokyo, Japan - open to discuss for remote

Timeline to join: Q3/Q4 2024 - open to discuss and flexibility
Responsibilities:
- Oversee technical research for offshore wind projects (bottom-fixed/floating wind)
- From the beginning of project development until the FID, oversee and manage engineering and other teams, with the option to continue in this capacity further on in the project's building phase
- Ascertain that the technical requirements of the project are considered at every step
- Identify and track the financial model's project inputs
- Verify technical documentation for agreements that are in effect or being negotiated; take part in the examination of related contractual documents,
- Ensure that the technical portion of the project is moving forward and provide the necessary paperwork to pass important milestones.
- Oversee interactions between several technical work packages, including foundation, WTG, O&M, and HSE.
- Determine the project's economic and technical risk.
Requirements:
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering (preferably in Mechanical, Civil, or Maritime Engineering)
- 5+ years of experience in offshore or big infrastructure industry to manage and drive delivery of large scale projects
- Well experienced in managing external consultants, EPC discussions, and supply chain with associated contractual and budget responsibilities
- Strong communication skills both internally and externally
- Fluent Japanese and English skills
