As a key member of the Michigan team, the successful candidate will contribute to the planning and execution of complex municipal projects, mentor junior staff, and support business development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of municipal infrastructure design plans, including water and wastewater systems, stormwater management, and roadway improvements.
- Prepare construction documents, cost estimates, schedules, and specifications.
- Evaluate design needs, recommend changes, and ensure code compliance through agency submissions.
- Develop marketing strategies for municipal project pursuits to support business development.
- Attend client meetings, address project requirements, and resolve issues throughout the project lifecycle.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to quality assurance and control processes.
- Participate in professional organizations and technical committees to enhance the Michigan program.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
- 5+ years of experience in municipal engineering or related fields.
- Michigan Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Experience with municipal projects and familiarity with local government processes.
- Proficiency in design software and virtual collaboration tools like ProjectWise.
- Proven leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with municipal design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D.
