Position: Municipal Project Manager
Location: Illinois
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of municipal infrastructure projects, including water/wastewater systems, stormwater management, and roadway improvements.
- Prepare construction documents, cost estimates, schedules, and specifications.
- Ensure code compliance through agency submissions and recommend design changes when needed.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by attending meetings, addressing project needs, and resolving issues throughout the project lifecycle.
- Mentor junior team members and support quality assurance processes.
- Develop marketing strategies and contribute to business development for municipal projects.
- Represent the firm in professional organizations and technical committees to enhance visibility and opportunities.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
- 7+ years of municipal engineering or related experience.
- PE license in Illinois (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other design software.
- Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with municipal design processes and local government regulations.
- Experience with collaboration tools such as ProjectWise.
