Entry-Level to Mid-Level Transmission Line Engineer Location: Fergus Falls, Minnesota
My client is seeking an Entry-Level to Mid-Level Transmission Line Engineer to join our Overhead Transmission design team in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to begin or advance their career in transmission line engineering while working on challenging and rewarding projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the design and analysis of overhead transmission line projects (345kV).
Support project teams with transmission line design and perform engineering calculations.
Develop basic proficiency with PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and other transmission design software.
Work closely with drafters, designers, and senior engineers to produce high-quality design deliverables.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
Strong interest in transmission line design and utility projects.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Internship or cooperative education experience in the electric utility industry.
Familiarity with PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and/or other transmission line design software.
Basic understanding of transmission line design concepts and standards.
EIT certification or working toward professional license.
