The firm is seeking an experienced and visionary Market Sector Leader to lead their higher education practice in Texas. You will work in tandem and cross-collaboratively with higher ed teams across the US. As the Market Sector Leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the firm's higher education portfolio. You'll collaborate closely with clients, design teams, and stakeholders to deliver exceptional architectural solutions that enhance learning environments, foster creativity, and promote academic success.
**This position can sit out of Dallas or Denver
Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a strategic vision for the higher education market sector. Identify growth opportunities, market trends, and emerging needs.
- Client Engagement: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with higher education institutions, administrators, and decision-makers. Understand their unique challenges and aspirations.
- Project Development: Lead the pursuit of new projects, from proposal development to contract negotiation. Collaborate with design teams to create compelling and innovative design concepts.
- Design Excellence: Champion design excellence and ensure that projects align with our firm's design philosophy and standards.
- Team Management: Mentor and guide a team of architects, designers, and project managers. Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Thought Leadership: Stay informed about industry advancements, research, and best practices related to higher education design. Contribute to thought leadership initiatives within the firm.
- Financial Performance: Oversee project budgets, resource allocation, and financial performance within the higher education sector.
Qualifications
- Professional Degree in Architecture: A degree from an accredited architecture program.
- Licensure: Registered architect in the state of Texas (or eligible for reciprocity).
- Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in architectural practice, with a focus on higher education projects.
- Portfolio: Demonstrated expertise in designing and delivering successful higher education facilities.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead teams, inspire creativity, and drive results.
