Job Title: Senior Analyst, Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)

Position Overview: The company is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Analyst to join their Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial modeling, acquisitions, divestitures, and valuation. This role will play a critical part in supporting the company's growth strategy by identifying, evaluating, and executing M&A opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to support the evaluation of potential acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic initiatives.
- Conduct thorough due diligence, including financial analysis, market research, and risk assessment.
- Prepare detailed valuation analyses using various methodologies (e.g., DCF, comparable company analysis, precedent transactions).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze relevant data and insights.
- Assist in the preparation of investment memos, presentations, and other materials for senior management and board review.
- Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape to identify new opportunities and inform strategic decisions.
- Support the negotiation and execution of transaction agreements and related documentation.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory and policy developments impacting the renewable energy sector.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in M&A, PF, investment banking or corporate development, preferably within the renewable energy sector.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel and other relevant software.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of the renewable energy industry and familiarity with ERCOT, MISO, PJM, and Southeast markets is a plus.
