National Fire Protection Lead - Engineering & Consulting Firm

My client, a globally recognized engineering, design, and project management firm, is seeking a National Fire Protection Lead to drive and expand their fire protection practice across the U.S. This is a rare opportunity to work alongside some of the most respected fire protection engineering leaders worldwide while managing and building a specialized team within a firm known for its award-winning contributions to infrastructure, sustainability, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and develop my client's national fire protection practice, overseeing technical excellence and strategic growth.
Collaborate with global fire protection experts to drive best practices and cutting-edge solutions.
Manage and mentor a small, high-performing team, fostering professional growth and technical expertise.
Oversee fire protection engineering for major projects, including commercial, industrial, and mission-critical facilities.
Support business development efforts, engaging with clients, leading proposals, and expanding market presence.
Ensure compliance with NFPA, IBC, FM Global, and other relevant fire codes and standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
PE in Fire Protection (or ability to obtain).
10+ years of fire protection engineering experience, with leadership or management experience preferred.
Expertise in fire suppression, detection, and life safety systems across diverse industries.
Strong understanding of U.S. fire codes and experience collaborating with AHJs (Authorities Having Jurisdiction).
Excellent communication, leadership, and business development skills.
