Company Summary: A leader of PV + BESS is looking to expand their dynamic team! The firm has engineered and designed 15GW+ of combined solar and BESS projects across the 34 states! They are looking to grow their team with a Lead Electrical Engineer in their Phoenix, AZ office!
Responsibilities:
- Lead the electrical design of solar power systems, including arrays, inverters, and balance of system components.
- Ensure all solar projects adhere to relevant electrical codes, standards, and local regulations.
- Conduct electrical system studies and analyses, such as load flow, short-circuit, and arc flash studies, to optimize system performance and safety.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers and other engineers, to successfully execute solar projects from concept to completion.
- Engage with clients to understand their specific requirements, address concerns, and provide technical guidance throughout the project life-cycle.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies in solar energy and contribute to the development of innovative solutions to improve project performance.
Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE) License.
- Demonstrated experience in the design and implementation of solar power systems or related.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
- Familiarity with electrical codes, standards, and regulations applicable to solar projects.
- Proficient in using relevant engineering software for system modeling and analysis
