Position Overview: My client are seeking a skilled Entitlements Manager to join their team in Austin. This role is essential to the continued success and growth of our operations in the region. The ideal candidate will have a solid engineering background with hands-on experience in single-family development, particularly in managing entitlements and navigating public financing districts (e.g., MUDs). This is a full-time, in-office position, ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their career away from consulting and into a dynamic, project-focused role.
Responsibilities:
- Lead entitlement processes for residential development projects, ensuring timely approvals and compliance with local regulations.
- Manage the preparation and review of development plans, coordinating with internal teams and external consultants.
- Collaborate with acquisition teams and senior executives to advance project goals and support the overall development process.
- Use your engineering expertise to oversee the technical aspects of planning and development, ensuring quality and accuracy.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with municipal authorities, contractors, engineers, and other key stakeholders.
- Provide guidance to junior engineers and direct the engineering team on technical matters and project milestones.
Qualifications:
- 3-8 years of experience in project management, with a focus on single-family development or related fields.
- Engineering background required; licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
- Experience in entitlements and familiarity with public financing districts (MUDs) a plus.
- Strong technical and organizational skills, with the ability to pick up and review development plans quickly and effectively.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and interacting with both young professionals and senior executives.
- A strong communicator with a personable, social demeanor who enjoys working with diverse teams.
