My client is currently seeking a talented and experienced Land Development Engineer to join their dynamic team in Pittsburgh, PA.
Job Overview:
As a Land Development Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, planning, and execution of land development projects in the Pittsburgh area. This position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience and offers the opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects that positively impact local communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead and manage land development projects from concept to completion, ensuring they meet quality, budget, and timeline objectives.
- Site Analysis: Conduct comprehensive site assessments, including feasibility studies, environmental impact assessments, and zoning analysis.
- Design Development: Develop and oversee the design of site plans, grading, drainage, utilities, and infrastructure layouts in accordance with local regulations and industry best practices.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant zoning codes, land use regulations, environmental regulations, and permitting requirements.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with architects, surveyors, environmental consultants, and other professionals to integrate project elements and deliver holistic solutions.
- Client Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with clients to address their needs, provide project updates, and ensure client satisfaction.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality control processes to guarantee the accuracy and integrity of project designs and documentation.
- Sustainability: Integrate sustainable and environmentally responsible practices into land development projects to minimize environmental impact.
- Budget Management: Prepare project budgets and monitor project costs throughout the development process.
- Community Engagement: Engage with local communities and stakeholders to address concerns, gather input, and ensure project alignment with community needs and expectations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- 5-10 years of experience in land development engineering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant design software.
- Strong knowledge of local Pittsburgh land use regulations and permitting processes.
- Excellent project management and leadership skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Commitment to sustainability and environmentally responsible engineering practices.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to project sites as needed.
