Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Land Development Department Lead to oversee and lead our land development team. This position offers a unique opportunity for leadership within a well-established organisation and involvement in diverse land development projects across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers, designers, and project managers.
- Oversee the planning, design, and execution of land development projects (commercial, residential, and mixed-use).
- Provide technical expertise in grading, drainage, utility design, roadways, and stormwater management.
- Collaborate with clients, municipalities, and other stakeholders to ensure project success and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Prepare, review, and seal engineering plans and specifications.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring repeat business and long-term partnerships.
- Contribute to business development efforts by identifying new opportunities, preparing proposals, and presenting to potential clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- PE License required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in land development engineering, with a focus on project management.
- Strong knowledge of local land development codes, regulations, and permitting processes in North Carolina.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience managing engineering teams.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other industry-standard software.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering projects from concept to completion.
