Civil Engineer (Water Resources Design)
Location: Remote/Part-time options available
Our client, a well-established civil engineering consulting firm with over 40 years of experience, specializes in transportation, hydrology and hydraulics (H/H), and site design. They work with a wide variety of clients, including MD State Highway, MD Transit Administration, MD Transportation Authority, Baltimore City, and various Maryland counties. They are currently seeking a Civil Engineer with 3-7 years of experience to join their team and focus on water resources design.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and contribute to stormwater management projects
- Utilize HEC-RAS and TR-20 for hydrology and hydraulic modeling
- Collaborate closely with upper management and represent the firm professionally
- Coordinate and manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously
- Apply sound engineering practices while adhering to municipal regulations and requirements
- Meet client criteria and project schedules, considering costs and constructability
Job Requirements:
- BS in Civil Engineering
- EIT required, PE preferred
- 3-7 years of experience in water resources design, with a focus on stormwater management
- Proficiency with HEC-RAS and TR-20
- Familiarity with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD is a plus
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
