As we embark on a strategic expansion into the Japanese market, we are seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager to lead and execute our growth initiatives.
Position Overview: We are looking for a highly experienced and motivated Business Development Manager with over 15 years of experience to spearhead our market entry and growth in Japan. This role will focus on establishing partnerships, driving sales, and building our brand presence in the region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in filtration and/or screen printing solutions, an extensive network in relevant industries, and a proven track record of strategic business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy tailored to the Japanese market.
Customer Acquisition & Retention: Identify and engage with potential clients across our target industries, including food, automotive, electronics, and pharmaceutical sectors. Build long-term customer relationships to ensure retention and satisfaction.
Partnership Development: Establish and nurture strategic alliances with distributors, suppliers, and industry stakeholders to enhance market penetration.
Sales Management: Achieve sales targets by proactively managing the sales pipeline, negotiating contracts, and closing high-value deals.
Market Intelligence: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify opportunities, challenges, and competitive landscapes. Provide insights to the global headquarters to inform product development and strategy.
Brand Building: Represent us at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to enhance brand awareness and credibility in the Japanese market.
Compliance & Localization: Ensure all business operations align with local regulations and cultural norms, while adapting our offerings to meet the unique needs of Japanese customers.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic market expansion, with a focus on Japan.
Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the filtration or screen printing industry. Familiarity with our target sectors is a strong advantage.
Language Skills: Fluent in Japanese (native or near-native proficiency) and English.
Network: Established connections within relevant industries in Japan.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. MBA preferred.
Skills: Exceptional negotiation, communication, and leadership abilities. Proficient in market analysis and strategic planning.
Cultural Acumen: Strong understanding of Japanese business practices and culture, coupled with the ability to navigate multinational corporate environments.
