We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Electrical Engineer specializing in PLC programming and automated systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in PLCs, sensors, electrical wiring, and troubleshooting systems such as electric cabinets, distributed control systems, and various high and low voltage components. This position requires U.S. citizenship or a valid green card. Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and UL standards for commercial spaces will be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the installation and commissioning of industrial control systems at customer sites, overseeing the entire project lifecycle.
- Analyze and address project challenges, providing corrective actions where necessary.
- Design, install, train, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC programs, electric cabinets, and distributed control systems, working with sensors, motors, and motor controllers.
- Utilize both standard and advanced electrical troubleshooting tools to identify and resolve issues.
- Review and optimize electro-mechanical systems for efficient performance.
- Assist in selecting contractors and evaluating their submissions to ensure the best outcomes for the project.
- Oversee utilities confirmation, ensuring all requirements are met.
- Maintain a detailed schedule of electrical and controls installation, troubleshooting issues to maintain project progress.
- Monitor the quality of electrical and controls installations, ensuring compliance with design specifications, industry standards, and contract requirements.
- Select and verify the performance of various process sensors (temperature, pressure, flow, etc.) for optimal functionality and reliability.
- Ensure all electrical designs and installations meet necessary regulations, particularly for commercial environments.
- Drive customer acceptance by addressing corrective actions, and provide operational and maintenance training.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, service engineers, project managers, customers, and technicians, ensuring smooth integration of electrical systems.
- Provide technical mentorship and support to junior engineers, technicians, and clients.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in PLC programming and control systems, with a preference for familiarity with Siemens TIA Portal, GP-Pro EX, and Easybuilder.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting distributed control systems and electrical components.
- Strong knowledge of process sensor selection, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of NEC and UL standards for commercial spaces (desired).
- Experience with CAD and E-plan software for electrical design.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities with the ability to perform under pressure.
- Highly motivated, with a strong sense of ownership and a proactive work approach.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical capability to walk, bend, climb, lift up to 50 lbs, and work safely on construction sites, including sitting, standing, and using a computer for extended periods.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 90%, mostly within North America, with occasional international travel for customer support, training, and commissioning.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, Profinet, S7, EIP).
- Experience with SCADA systems (WINCC, Ignition).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with CSA standards.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken Mandarin.
- Canadian citizenship with U.S. green card or dual nationality.
