Job Title: ICT Technology Consultant
Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) to join our team as an ICT Technology Consultant. As an RCDD, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing low-voltage systems for data centers, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients, architects, and engineers to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Design and plan low-voltage infrastructure for data centers, including structured cabling, fiber optics, and network pathways.
- Conduct site surveys and assessments to evaluate existing systems and identify improvement opportunities.
- Develop detailed design specifications, schematics, and layouts.
- Select appropriate equipment, materials, and technologies for data center installations.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and best practices.
- Provide technical guidance to installation teams during implementation.
- Perform quality control checks and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and trends in data center design.
Qualifications:
- RCDD a plus but not a requirement
- Experience: Minimum of two years of verifiable full-time work experience in ICT design or equivalent.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, revit or similar design software.
- Knowledge of industry standards (TIA/EIA, ANSI/BICSI, etc.).
- Familiarity with low-voltage systems, including structured cabling, power distribution, and grounding.
- Understanding of data center architecture and infrastructure.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to analyse complex requirements and propose effective solutions.
- Collaboration: Comfortable working in cross-functional teams.
- Attention to Detail: Precision in design documentation and implementation.
- Certifications: Additional certifications (such as DCDC, OSP, or others) are a plus.
