Hydrology Project Engineer
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Salary Range: $85,000 - $100,000
Role Overview:
As a Hydrology Project Engineer, you will focus on designing and executing hydrology-related projects, such as stormwater management and flood mitigation. You'll collaborate with engineers, environmental scientists, and other stakeholders to develop sustainable water solutions and ensure technical accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Design: Assist in the development of hydrology and water resources projects, ensuring proper application of engineering principles.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, scientists, and construction teams to deliver accurate project designs.
- Technical Support: Provide technical expertise in hydrology, hydraulics, and stormwater management, supporting project execution.
- Compliance & Permitting: Ensure all projects meet local, state, and federal regulations, including securing necessary permits.
- Data Analysis: Conduct hydrological analysis using modeling tools to assess water flows, flooding risks, and drainage.
- Documentation: Prepare technical reports, design documents, and project specifications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in hydrology or water resources.
- Strong understanding of hydrology, stormwater, and water quality management.
- Ability to work well within teams, contributing technical expertise.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools.
