Hydraulic Modeler/Planner
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of hydraulic models to support water resource planning and management. You'll be instrumental in designing systems that optimize water distribution and mitigate flood risks.
- Conduct in-depth hydrological and hydraulic analyses to inform project designs and decision-making processes. This includes creating models for river systems, stormwater networks, and urban drainage systems.
- Develop and refine innovative solutions for water management challenges, including flood control, stormwater management, and water supply planning. You'll ensure these solutions are sustainable and resilient.
- Perform comprehensive environmental impact assessments and develop strategies to minimize adverse effects. You'll design measures to protect communities from extreme weather events and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, planners, and environmental scientists to deliver integrated water management solutions. You'll incorporate green infrastructure and nature-based solutions into your projects.
- Engage with stakeholders, including community members and regulatory agencies, to gather input and provide updates on project progress.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Extensive experience in hydraulic modeling and water resources planning, with a strong portfolio of successful projects.
- Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, SWMM) and GIS tools.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
