As a Superintendent, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating the execution of large-scale FDOT highway and roadway projects. Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a Supervisory role on heavy civil construction projects
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering large-scale roadway projects, including clearing and grading, excavation, underground water/sewer/storm drainage, and asphalt paving
- Experience working on projects through local governments in Florida is required
- Extensive experience in coordinating construction activities, managing field personnel, and collaborating with subcontractors and suppliers
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, safety protocols, and quality standards
- Previous experience working on projects in the Seattle area is highly desirable
- Proficiency in managing project schedules, budgets, and resources
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make timely decisions on-site
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Thorough understanding of civil engineering principles, construction techniques, and industry best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team
- Familiarity with project management software and tools
- Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards
- Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications
