Job Description:
As a Heavy Civil Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of heavy civil construction projects. You will work closely with project managers, field teams, and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, and oversee construction projects related to heavy civil works.
- Collaborate with project managers and field staff to develop project schedules and budgets.
- Review and approve project plans, specifications, and design documents.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and contract requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and resolve any issues.
- Manage project documentation, including reports, change orders, and permits.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders and clients.
Experience Needed:
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in heavy civil construction, including roads, bridges, and large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with project management software and construction management tools.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and engineering documents.
Qualifications Needed:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or the ability to obtain within a specified timeframe.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera).
