Position: Heavy Civil Field Engineer
Location: Seattle, WA
Salary: $90,000- $110,000 + Bonus(s)
Overview: This leading national General Contractor is seeking a skilled Heavy Civil Field Engineer to join their dynamic team in Seattle, WA. As a Field Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating various aspects of heavy civil construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Responsibilities:
- Manage daily field operations, including coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and field staff.
- Perform quality control inspections and ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
- Interpret construction drawings and specifications to assist in planning and executing construction activities.
- Assist in scheduling, budgeting, and forecasting project costs and timelines.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and superintendents to resolve technical issues and ensure project goals are met.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of field activities, including daily reports, progress photos, and as-built drawings.
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related to safety and quality assurance.
Experience Needed:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in heavy civil construction projects.
- Hands-on experience with earthwork, utilities, paving, and/or bridge construction.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, AutoCAD).
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
