Overview:
Seeking a Hazardous Building Professional Consultant responsible for conducting surveys, developing management plans, overseeing projects, and ensuring compliance with regulations. This role entails fieldwork and office tasks, including sample collection, data analysis, report preparation, and client interaction.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct hazardous materials building surveys to identify asbestos and other hazardous materials, including lead.
- Utilize destructive and non-destructive sampling methods for surveys, ensuring meticulous documentation and sample tracking.
- Coordinate sample management and analysis with project laboratories.
- Analyze survey data and formulate conclusions and recommendations.
- Develop asbestos and lead management programs, including dust management plans, and prepare necessary documentation.
- Perform site observation and monitoring during asbestos and lead abatement projects.
- Prepare proposals, reports, and cost estimates for surveys and air monitoring services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a Geology or a Science-related field;
- 15+ years of hazardous building materials survey and abatement/remediation monitoring experience (asbestos, lead-based paint, and PCB experience is essential);
- Thorough understanding of state-specific and federal asbestos, lead, and PCB regulations and guidelines, including: design protocols, survey requirements, abatement monitoring requirements and reporting;
- Licenses/Certifications:
- State-specific Asbestos Inspector and Project Monitor;
- State-specific Licensed Lead Inspector;
- Related licenses in other states and additional state licenses are considered a plus;.
